I Can’t Sleep. I know…Let’s Write About Religious Trauma!

Yesterday my sister and I were talking about my last blog post, Please Pass the Yule. We talk about our blog posts a lot. And we often read each other’s stuff over the phone because we want feedback immediately. She kinda did a little flip-out maneuver when she read the part that said I was “a little jaded” that the Christians stole and bastardized Yule from the pagans and turned it into Christmas. She ranted for a minute about religious trauma and what it has done to her and I thought (and said) yes, but I’m a little more “movey-onny” than you. But was that true? WAS IT? I want to know.

Chill Baby…You Can’t Change it

Sometimes things can go really wrong in life. There are setbacks and messes and mistakes. Accordingly, there are also consequences for these things. So how do you deal with all the anxiety and stress that goes along with these types of situations? You can either fret and worry endlessly, making yourself sick with worry and having nightmares, or you can do what I do. Cut it out.

Feelin’ Myself

As I sit here in my pajamas eating my brownie, I can’t help but think of you (my readers). I am thinking about body positivity and how it applies to your life. For me, it took a long time to find. Like say, 30 years or so. It required a lot of internal personal development and meditation before I could accept my body as mine and begin to love it.

Let’s Get It!

Everyone has different talents. Some of us sing, some sew, others run fast (not me). And we all put our own unique touch on what we do well. This is fantastic-diversity is great and makes for excellent collaboration. But there are some skills out there that everyone can benefit from developing. This is because some aspects of human nature are simply set in stone, until, that is, we evolve away from them. For example, humans communicate with each other. I bet you can think of more, but we will not go into it all here. So I now present to you my list of five skills that everyone should develop.
